Charles David Jones
Wordsmith - Contributing Author
Suppose I should introduce people to the real "me".  My full name is Charles (Chuck) David (Dave) Jones.  The difficulty with using those as 'nicks" is they've already been used.  AlOmega - Alfraeo Omegus actually - was taken from one of several Dugeons and Dragons characters that I used to run when I was younger.  Born in Rhode Island, it took Texas to get me started and that's where I lived most of my early days.  Soon after graduating from Santa Maria High School in California, I joined the Navy, leaving nine years later as a First Class Electronic Tech.  It was at Rollins College in Florida that I received degrees in Accounting (BS, BA) as well as two Masters degrees (MSM and MBA).  After a stint with the (shudder) IRS in Houston, I started my own business.  I'm currently a CPA, member of various accounting and financial organizations, and a bit over 50.  Just don't ask how much a "bit" is.

I'm proudest of my dad who just turned 81.  He worked at Cape Canaveral  (aka: Cape Kennedy) from Gemini through the Skylab programs.  He's been at mission control in Houston as well as at Kennedy.  He'll tell ya it weren't nuttin.  However, get him talking about those days and he'll continue for hours.

Every year since 1984 I've played a magical person at the Texas Renaissance Faire who tells stories, does magical tricks, and generally has bunches of fun.  My other interests are paleontology, astronomy, and music - none of which I pursued as careers since none paid diddly.  The only reason I majored in accounting was because I couldn't get advanced calculus at night.

I've been writing Sci-Fi off and on since I was fourteen.  However, I didn't start putting any of my writing on the internet until 1998.  That's about when I met Ric and Lisa Von Roseler.  We're Internet friends though we've never met in real life.  That's the wonder of the of the Internet.  You can make new friends anywhere and never actualy meet.

Though my stories are mostly Science Fiction, I also have written fantasies, mysteries and other genera.  Some day if I ever get the nerve (I'm the Cowardly Lion type), I might submit some stories to a magazine.  Perhaps I'll even write a Sci-Fi novel some day.  Maybe.
